Meet Jan
Jan Bryan has specialized in Sustainable, Responsible, and Impact (SRI) investing for over thirty years. She is a “fee-only” (does not receive any income from commissions, bonuses, or other compensation from investments) financial planner who takes a values approach to sound financial planning.
Jan recognized the financial merits of sustainable investing long before the general investment world. As a geographer and environmentalist as well as social activist, it made perfect sense to her. She enjoys helping clients align their investments with their values. Jan seeks long-term client relationships with responsible investors who understand and are committed to strategies that not only serve their financial goals but also promote positive change.
As a Founding Member of Sustainable Advisors Alliance, Jan aims to provide stable, continuous service and care to SAA clients alongside like-minded Advisors who will collaborate and support one another’s financial planning practices.
Away from work, Jan is a naturalist and adventurer who enjoys birding, gardening, hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, reading, geography, and just about anything in the world of nature. She also speaks conversational Spanish.

First Peoples Worldwide
Using corporate engagement strategies, First Peoples Worldwide (FPW) provides tools and resources for investors, companies, and financial institutions to increase understanding about the ways to include Indigenous Peoples in project design in accordance with the principle of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) as enumerated in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. FPW facilitates participation by Indigenous Peoples in high-level dialogue regarding investments that impact their lands, territories and resources.
“The goal of Sustainable Advisors Alliance is to provide stability and continuous service and care to our clients throughout life events. The 2020 year of Covid-19 made this goal even more important than ever as many clients and the general population faced harsh realities of the pandemic.”
